There are four God given principles I used throughout my career to solve multi-million dollar problems and create complex predictive models.
I found that EVERYONE in the world holds EVERYONE else to these four principles, YET EVERYONE naturally tries to avoid applying these four principles to THEMSELVES. People avoid these four principles when dealing with themselves without even trying. It is in man's nature to do the opposite of these four principles when dealing with himself. This is "man's way of thinking".
The only way to apply these four principles to one's self is with intentional effort...this is "God's way of thinking".
These four principles are:
CS Lewis in his last book ("The Discarded Image") gives two Rules for Modeling. Within these Rules, all four principles are covered!
LEWIS' FIRST RULE OF MODELING: The Model must be made up of specific causes that account for ALL the observed effects (causality) without contradiction (non-contradiction).
LEWIS' SECOND RULE OF MODELING: If more than one Model accounts for ALL the observed effects without contradiction, then we must embrace the simpler Model.
Next, Lewis covers how Models get discarded:
"It will have to be abandoned if a more ingenious person thinks of a supposal which would 'save' the observed phenomena with still fewer assumptions, or if we discover new phenomena which it cannot save at all." (Page 16)
Basically, if the Model violates the First Rule (can't cover all the observed effects) or loses under the Second Rule (a simpler Model that fulfills the First Rule is discovered). Lewis states that in order to grow (growth) we ought to actively find information (contrastive thinking) that stresses our Model.
Over a dozen years ago, I decided I wanted to test these four principles by trying to model the biggest challenge I could find: God.
It took me four years considering all the possible explanations I could find and actively looking for contradictions. This is HOW I discovered the non-contradictory model. Here it is:
God is ALWAYS completely Right
God is ALWAYS completely Just
God can’t do ANYTHING apart from Right and Just
After I realized the non-contradictory model for God, I understood WHY it was true. This is different from HOW this was proven true. Here is WHY it is true:
Right is a qualitative characteristic of God. EVERY other qualitative description of God either limits or contradicts Right.
Just is a quantitative characteristic of God. EVERY other quantitative description of God either limits or contradicts Just.
This would make God a First Cause that is real, yet intangible. Every explanation of a First Cause that is tangible begs the question, "What created the tangible being?" (For more explanation on proving God's existence and identity with scientific principles, click here.)
If God could be wrong or unjust, then it would be God’s will NOT to do God’s will. Evolution is a fairy tale for adults because it is a simplistic explanation that falls apart after two or more questions are asked. Sovereignty is also a fairy tale for adults.
Sovereignty says God can do anything He wants. So when God's will isn't done, it is God that opposes His own will. This is contradictory. This is justifying man instead of God...this is saying that it is possible for God to be wrong and/or unjust.
After more than a dozen years of testing, I can tell you this is the only non-contradictory model for God. It is the ONLY Model that in CS Lewis' words "gets all the data in". It is also the simplest Model!
(Notice, saying that God COULD be wrong or unjust is the same as saying that God has some amount of unrighteousness in Him...after all, God's ability to be wrong or unjust would be the effect of a cause. So, people who disagree with this model are actually confessing God contains unrighteousness.)
EVERYONE has a model for God whether they know it or not.
EVERYONE’S frustration with God comes from the difference between their model and the model described above.
For example, everytime someone values another attribute of God as equal or above Right and Just, they get frustrated.
“If God loves me then why does HE…”
Finally, this model for God results in all the other attributes of God.
God can’t be always completely just and always completely merciful…how would He handle a criminal? God’s mercy actually is determined by Right and Just.
Religion is a belief system.
Science is NOT a belief system.
Science is a God-given tool for determining truth.
Religion has always used science to determine truth.
(Religious leaders didn’t always like the answers they got. History records the lengths religious leaders have gone to in order to ignore the truth. From killing the person using the tools to barring all sharing of the information, these responses were short term and emotionally driven.)
These four principles (contrastive, causality, non-contradiction, and growth) are science.
When science uses these principles we call this “good” science.
When science misuses at least one of these principles we call it “bad” science.
I took the model for God and the four principles and applied it to various religions and religious books. Here is what I found:
-Every religion believes God is Right and Just.
-Religion is really a method for rationalizing how God is Right and Just despite it APPEARING untrue.
-NONE of these rationalizations hold up when the four principles are applied.
In fact, the flaws came out INSTANTLY when the four principles were applied.
-People know this and THAT is why there are so many “flavors” of Christianity, Buddhism, etc.
-When I applied the model for God and the four principles to the Bible it completely meshed.
(In fact, it made the flaws in the other religious books even more apparent.)
-The Bible is written COMPLETELY in-line with the four principles.
It is the only religious book I’ve read that is written contrastively.
The entire Bible is written according to causality.
The Bible gives the “WHY” behind its requests and doesn’t contradict.
The Bible requires you to intentionally choose to grow and be uncomfortable in order to UNDERSTAND it…let alone follow it.
-When these four principles are applied to a contradictory system, they instantly show the flaws.
-When these four principles are applied to a non-contradictory system, they instantly give the “why”…all the power is in the “why”.
-Not only did I instantly get the “why”, I instantly saw where the “Christians” miss it.
They quote passages and interpret them comparatively.
They interpret the Bible from Effect to Cause
They live with contradictions by saying we can’t know or aren’t supposed to know the “why”.
They promise comfort.
EVERYONE can use these principles.
(In fact, EVERYONE does currently use these principles…on everyone EXCEPT themselves!)
If people used these principles, then the measure of authority WOULD be the level of Bible knowledge a person has.
(Of the two requirements: Bible knowledge is much harder to attain than applying these principles.)
However, the level of Bible knowledge actually seems to be a detriment today because people use the opposite of these principles.
THAT’S why the general public is correct when they say the current religious leadership are wrong...they are short term and emotionally driven.
Actually, the proof that we have lost our way is our inability to present a non-contradictory model for God. A.W. Tozer in "The Knowledge Of The Holy" says it well:
"Before the Christian church goes into eclipse anywhere, there must first be the corrupting of her simple basic theology. She simply gets a wrong answer to the question, “What is God like?” Though she may continue to cling to a sound nominal creed, her practical working creed has become false. The masses of her adherents come to believe that God is different from what He actually is; and that is heresey of the most insidious and deadly kind."
When I applied these principles and the model for God to the Bible, it explained in a non-contradictory manner, all the topics from God to the meaning of life…
