This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.
We've seen that progressing through the Motivational Spiritual Gifts from Perceiver to Exhorter results in Repair. The bad situation is identified, understood, and addressed. The conclusion is to do something MORE and to create a situation that continues doing MORE indefinitely.
Going through the Motivational Spiritual Gifts from Perceiver to Exhorter results in Profitability.
What happens when we go through the Motivational Spiritual Gifts from Exhorter to Perceiver?
Looking back at the Repair process, we see that it began by becoming Aware of an Unprofitable situation. In fact, when we applied the Repair process to Confession and Repentance, the Unprofitable situation that was being addressed was sin:
Cause: Sin occurred...which according to the Bible is Unprofitable: it leads to death (Romans 6:23).
First Response: Confession...which was made up of the first three Motivational Spiritual Gifts (Perceiver, Teacher, and Compassion) and resulted in limiting the Unprofitability.
Second Response: Repentance...which was made up of the remaining four Motivational Spiritual Gifts (Giver, Minister, Administrator, and Exhorter) and made the situation Profitable.
We've seen one proof of Repair is that people are willing to remember and discuss the situation and solution after it has been resolved. Why? Because it resulted in something more. People would be willing to discuss the affair they had because it resulted in something more for everyone. Notice, this does not mean they are proud of the affair because Perfect Repair would only come with Perfect Confession and Perfect Repentance. When a person is unwilling to discuss their sin, they are proving they have not Repaired.
If we were to summarize this process from Perceiver to Exhorter, we'd say it is a response to Fear of Loss. The Cause is an Unprofitable situation and the Response is focused on preventing the situation from becoming MORE Unprofitable.
Since using all of the Motivational Spiritual Gifts results in MORE, then using them in the opposite order would be the opposite of Fear of Loss...which is Achieve Gain. Let's look at the specific steps:
7. Exhorter - Since the focus is encouraging people about the Future, the Exhorter would look for an opportunity to gain.
6. Administrator - Focus a group of people on the opportunity to Achieve Gain.
5. Minister - Identifies specific tasks for individuals.
4. Giver - Identifies material resources that are needed.
3. Compassion - Identifies emotional issues that need to be overcome.
2. Teacher - Determines if this plan will work and why. Also would be able to identify more efficient methods.
1. Perceiver - Makes everyone Aware of issues that may still exist in the plan.
Once the plan has made it through all seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts to everyone's satisfaction, the group can proceed forward together towards Achieve Gain.
On this blog and "Modeling God's Wills", we have addressed the Meaning of Life. We've looked at eternity...
Now, look at the process from Exhorter to Perceiver. Wouldn't this be how we would spend eternity? Achieve Gain. Growth without sin.
CONCLUSION
What happens when we go through the Motivational Spiritual Gifts from Exhorter to Perceiver?
Growth motivated by Achieve Gain. Growth without sin...

Motivational Spiritual Gifts: Repair vs. Restoration
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.
In the previous post, we saw that, for the most part, Perceivers and Teachers have been removed from today's Church. The result is a Body that is blind and deaf...a Body lacking Tension.
We've seen that each Motivational Spiritual Gift is needed for Perfect Repair:
Perfect Confession involves the first three gifts:
1. Perceiver: I know WHAT I did (specfically identified) was wrong.
2. Teacher: I know WHY (specific causes) I did it.
3. Compassion: I don't want to do it again.
The next two gifts represent direct Repentance:
4. Giver is a Present Do gift focused on giving something to make up for the loss.
5. Minister is a Future Do gift focused on fulfilling a need to make up for the loss.
I would ask the person I sinned against if there was anything I could Give or Do for them that would make up for my sin.
The final two gifts complete Perfect Repentance by addressing the group:
6. Administrator is a Future Speak gift that coordinates a group of people toward a goal
7. Exhorter is a Future Speak gift that encourages people
Perfect Repentance would involve me identifying all the people I Spoke negatively to about the person I sinned against and Speaking well of the person I sinned against.
REPAIR
Repair results in something MORE.
When the Body repairs a bone or a muscle, the bone or muscle ends up being stronger.
In the above explanation of Perfect Repair, the person I sinned against ends up with something MORE once I Repair. First, he/she ends up with something MORE directly from me through Giver/Minister. Second, he/she ends up with many people thinking well of him/her.
We've seen, in the Bible, the definition for the word LIFE is "the ability to repair". Life always results in something MORE...PROFITABILITY.
The order by groupings for Repair is:
Past Speak, Do, Future Speak.
Notice that other orders can be destructive:
Past Speak, Future Speak, Do
-Problems would be identified and the future steps would be determined before anything was ever done to repair the problems
-This is like an academic/theoretical approach or, worse, a dictatorship where peoples' feelings are run over.
Do, Past Speak, Future Speak
-Solutions would be attempted and then analyzed to see if they corrected the problem before looking to the future.
-This is learning by experience
Do, Future Speak, Past Speak
-Solutions would be attempted towards creating a Profitable future without addressing the issues...and then being critical on everything that had been done.
-This is like children doing whatever felt good in the moment, creating a worse problem...and then regretting it.
There is another word people use instead of Repair and the effect is much LESS. This word is Restoration...
RESTORATION
Restoration is the act of returning something back to its ORIGINAL state...nothing MORE and nothing LESS. An automobile that is restored is in the same condition as when it first existed. This seems to be the goal that most churches are aiming for...especially when they speak of Restoration in response to a conflict.
Notice, when something isn't COMPLETELY Restored, it is by definition something LESS. Basically, while the goal of Restoration is NOT UNPROFITABLE, the actual result is UNPROFITABLE.
Restoration can occur with all seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts if the Repentance steps are done to the exact level as what existed before the sin.
4. Giver is a Present Do gift focused on giving something to make up for the loss, at the same amount.
5. Minister is a Future Do gift focused on fulfilling a need to make up for the loss, at the same amount.
I would ask the person I sinned against if there was anything I could Give or Do for them that would make up for my sin at the same amount as my sin.
The final two gifts complete Perfect Repentance by addressing the group:
6. Administrator is a Future Speak gift that coordinates a group of people toward a goal
7. Exhorter is a Future Speak gift that encourages people
Perfect Restoration would involve me identifying all the people I Spoke negatively to about the person I sinned against and trying to get these people to forget what I Spoke.
Now, we can see why Restoration ultimately ends up with something less than what had existed.
Notice, this is the best possible result if all of the seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts are used. If, like we saw in a previous post, the Church today lacks Perceivers and Teachers (Tension), it is not possible to achieve Restoration. People won't be made Aware of the problem and the Understand the Cause. People will just be encouraged to forget...which doesn't result in MORE and when people don't forget, the result is something LESS.
CONCLUSION
In last year's Series, we saw that Jesus gave directions to the Church in Matthew chapter 18 and Matthew chapter 19 that is ignored by the Church today. One of the examples we covered was confrontation. Today, the Church avoids confrontation, even though Jesus Himself told us to confront believers in the Church, and the result is we have something LESS over time.
In today's post, we see why the lack of Perceivers and Teachers is resulting in the decline of the Church: Jesus said the key to Repair was Confrontation...and Perceivers and Teachers are necessary for Confrontation. Confrontation begins with Tension and ends with Release...which results in Repair: something MORE.

Motivational Spiritual Gifts: Tension and Release

In the previous post, we saw the Church of today seems to lack Perceivers and Teachers. We've seen that Perceivers are the Eyes and Teachers are the Ears of the Body. If the Church of today was a physical body, it would be blind and deaf.
We've seen that each Motivational Spiritual Gift is needed for Perfect Repair:
Perfect Confession involves the first three gifts:
1. Perceiver: I know WHAT I did (specfically identified) was wrong.
2. Teacher: I know WHY (specific causes) I did it.

The final two gifts complete Perfect Repentance by addressing the group:

7. Exhorter is a Future Speak gift that encourages people
Perfect Repentance would involve me identifying all the people I Spoke negatively to about the person I sinned against and Speaking well of the person I sinned against.
During last year's Series on the Book of Matthew, we saw that there can't be a change in behavior without (what we called) AWARENESS and PERSPECTIVES. Here is an excerpt:
1. AWARENESS - Being conscious of what you are actually thinking is more than half the battle. We cannot grow if we are not conscious of WHAT we do think. We cannot make Profitable progress (change) without being conscious of WHAT we think. We need to be conscious to the point we know the HOW/WHY behind WHAT we think.
2. PERSPECTIVES - We need to be able to see at least one other perspective. Almost all of the damage that is done to the brain occurs as an effect of NOT being able to see another perspective! For instance, my NOT being able to see another perspective leads to me believing there is ONLY one possibility. From that point on, ALL information is sorted into "Proves My Point" and "Does NOT Prove My Point". From there, ALL the information that does NOT prove my point can be FOREVER forgotten/ignored. The result is I will continue to grow in the belief there is ONLY one possibility: mine. My brain will begin to wire itself in a deceptive manner. I will reward myself for checking for contradictions when that part of my brain actually is NOT activated! The result is physiological brain damage. If I'm in a position of power, the result is anything from Abuse to Terrorism to War.
Now, we see these two requirements are represented by the first two Motivational Spiritual Gifts:
1. Perceiver - Being Aware (conscious) of the problem
2. Teacher - Ability to Understand (not necessarily to agree with) another perspective well enough to "see" it.
In the previous post, we saw the Church of today avoids these two gifts because both of these gifts are uncomfortable to others. Both of these gifts create Tension.
In the post titled, "Friendship, Love, and Grace" we saw the following:
Nathaniel has explained Fellowship to me in terms of MUSIC. He sees it like there is a string between two people. Fellowship is achieved when that string reaches its unique frequency...its unique "note" shared by ONLY these two people. When it comes to this string, there needs to be tension and looseness. If there is no tension, the note is flat. If there is no looseness, the note is sharp.
Nathaniel's revelation is we need BOTH tension and looseness to have Fellowship with people.
Turns out, Nathaniel understood our brains better than I knew...
"...we have two separate pleasure systems in our brains, one that has to do with exciting pleasure and one with satisfying pleasure. The exciting system relates to the "appetite" pleasure that we get imagining something we desire, such as sex or a good meal. Its neurochemistry is largely dopamine-related, and it raises our tension level."
"The second pleasure system has to do with the satisfaction, or consummatory pleasure, that attends actually having sex or having that meal, a calming, fulfilling pleasure. Its neurochemistry is based on the release of endorphins, which are related to opiates and give a peaceful, euphoric bliss." (The Brain That Changes Itself)
Tension plays into our dopamine system. Looseness plays into our endorphin system. Every "pleasure" people experience is related to one or both of these systems...
Complimenting people is ONLY endorphin based.
Riding roller coasters are largely dopamine based.
The greatest thrills are associated with BOTH...first creating tension and then relieving the tension. Taking an emotional risk with a woman is the greatest thrill a male can experience.
However, pornography creates the tension without having to take a risk with another person.
There are a lot of people who want Fellowship...and even Friendship...without the tension and risk with others...just like porn addicts.
CONCLUSION
Perceivers and Teachers create Tension. The rest of the Motivational Spiritual Gifts provide Release.
The Church of today wants Release without Tension. The Church of today has the same mentality as a person with an addiction to porn.
Calvinism is man's attempt to get Release without Tension. Calvinism provides a superficial and contradictory doctrine to explain God's Nature and God's Will: God being able to do whatever He wants regardless of our will is ACTUALLY an attempt to provide a Release to the individual so that they don't have to feel the Tension of responsibility.

Motivational Spiritual Gifts: The Church Today
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.

Perfect Confession involves the first three gifts:

7. Exhorter is a Future Speak gift that encourages people
Perfect Repentance would involve me identifying all the people I Spoke negatively to about the person I sinned against and Speaking well of the person I sinned against.
We've seen that each Motivational Spiritual Gift is associated with a part of the body.
1. Perceiver: Eyes
2. Teacher: Ears
3. Compassion: Heart
4. Giver: Hands
5. Minister: Feet
6. Administrator: Mouth
7. Exhorter: Words/Breath
In the previous post, we looked at the serpent in the Garden of Eden. We saw that he lacked the following: Ears (Teacher), Hands (Minister), and Feet (Minister). Even though the serpent had a Heart (Compassion), the lack of the previous three gifts caused the use of Perceiver, Administrator, and Exhorter to result in destruction. Likewise, we can see a similar result with the Church of today...
If we looked at the Church today as if it were a Body made up of the Motivational Spiritual Gifts, we would see the Church is a Body that is deaf and blind. The Church of today lacks Eyes (Perceivers) and Ears (Teachers).
Today's Church doesn't want to become Aware of the real issues. Perceivers are seen by the Church as pessimistic and negative. Some pastors openly state they do not want to hear ANY criticism. Consequently, Perceivers have mostly left the Church. We saw that Revelation 3:14-18 stated the first step to helping the Laodicean Church (which represented the Church today) was to buy "eyesalve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see."
Today's Church doesn't want to Understand the real issues. Teachers focus on Doctrine...and today's Church doesn't see Doctrine as "user friendly". Some pastors openly state they do not know or discuss Doctrine and if people have any questions they can go to a commentary or take a class. Consequently, Teachers have mostly left the Church.
In fact, the Post-moderns infiltrating the Church of today have convinced many that we can't understand Doctrine. We have seen that in 1969, the Church in America intentionally chose to go without an orthodox explanation for God. We have seen this is referred to as "The Godless Christianity Movement" which many churches today still embrace. These churches believe understanding God's Nature well enough to explain it to others is heretical.
Today's Church begins with Compassion...focused on feelings. The goal is to help people who feel bad to feel better. However, this is failing. Church attendance has declined. Seminaries that teach this perspective are failing and closing their doors.
The churches that seem to be growing are preaching Calvinism...a man-made doctrine that results in people ignoring issues (because God wanted the issues to exist) and not trying to have an explanation for their doctrine (because God didn't want us to be able to understand it).
Calvinism's goal is to not be Aware and not Understand.
Calvinism is a man-made belief system that is blind and deaf...just like today's Church.
In tomorrow's post, we will look at the specific value missing from the Church when we ignore Perceivers and Teachers...

7. Exhorter is a Future Speak gift that encourages people
Perfect Repentance would involve me identifying all the people I Spoke negatively to about the person I sinned against and Speaking well of the person I sinned against.
We've seen that each Motivational Spiritual Gift is associated with a part of the body.
1. Perceiver: Eyes
2. Teacher: Ears
3. Compassion: Heart
4. Giver: Hands
5. Minister: Feet
6. Administrator: Mouth
7. Exhorter: Words/Breath
Taking these two thoughts together, let's look at the serpent in the Garden of Eden...
1. Perfect Repair: The serpent was the opposite of Repair. He was intentionally destructive.
2. Body Parts: The serpent didn't have ears, hands, or feet.
We have covered Genesis chapter 3 in great detail with the following posts:
Genesis 3:1-7
Genesis 3:8-11
Genesis 3:12-19
Original Sin
In today's post, we will look at Genesis 3 from the perspective of the serpent's ability to operate only according to Perceiver, Compassion, Administrator, and Exhorter.
GENESIS 3
"1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which Jehovah God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of any tree of the garden?"
(Perceiver: The serpent asked a question focused on a Past WHAT..."hath God said...")
"2 And the woman said unto the serpent, Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat:
3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil."
(Compassion: The serpent bore emotional pain..."Ye shall not surely die...")
(Exhorter: The serpent encouraged Eve towards a Future event..."your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God...")
(Administrator: The serpent was focusing Eve and Adam towards a goal by first misleading Eve.)
"6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat; and she gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig-leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 And they heard the voice of Jehovah God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovah God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 And Jehovah God called unto the man, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself."
(The effect on Adam and Eve of their interaction with the serpent was to feel weak (naked) and fearful (afraid). The destructive spirits associated with Compassion and Exhorter are weakness (infirmity) and fear, respectively.)
"11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat."
(The effect on Adam of his interaction with the serpent was to become the source of making others Aware and attempting to mislead others. We saw Adam's response to God was the cause of our need for Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross in order to achieve Salvation. If you want more information on how Paul also explained that Adam's sin was the cause of us needing Jesus' death on the cross for Salvation, please click the following link: Original Sin.)
(Adam's response to God's question wasn't to confess and repent. Adam's response wasn't to justify God. Adam's response was to justify himself (blaming God because God was the source of Eve)...to make himself the source of "right and just"...which was idolatry and divination. Adam was also attempting to lead God towards focusing on Eve...which was an attempt to mislead God. The destructive spirits associated with Perceiver and Administrator are divination and misleading (seducing), respectively.)
"13 And Jehovah God said unto the woman, What is this thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat."
(The effect on Eve of her interaction with the serpent was the same as Adam's, except Eve attempted to mislead God by focusing Him on the serpent.)
"14 And Jehovah God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, cursed art thou above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15 and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: he shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
(Notice, God asked Adam and Eve a question...which would have given them the opportunity to Confess and Repent. Notice also, God did not give the serpent a chance to Confess and Repent. God made a direct statement...of judgment. The serpent was unable to Understand (and Confess) because he didn't have Ears. The serpent was unable to Repent because he didn't have Hands or Feet. The serpent didn't operate in the gifts of Teacher, Giver, and Minister.)
CONCLUSION
It takes ALL the Motivational Spiritual Gifts to be able to perfectly Confess and perfectly Repent. It takes all the Motivational Spiritual Gifts to Perfectly Repair. If the Body lacks teaching, giving, and ministering, it will be just as destructive as the serpent was in the Garden of Eden.
In the next post, we will look at the Church today with respect to the Motivational Spiritual Gifts...

Motivational Spiritual Gifts: Future Speak Perspective
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.
This week we have been looking at the implications of the individual's WHY and HOW Motivational Spiritual Gifts to its relation with three categories of these gifts:
-Past Speak (Perceiver, Teacher)
-Do (Compassion, Giver, Minister)
-Future Speak (Administrator, Exhorter)
In today's post we will look at the perspective of people whose WHY and HOW Motivational Spiritual Gifts are both Future Speak.
This includes the following:
Administrator-Administrator
Administrator-Exhorter
Exhorter-Administrator
Exhorter-Exhorter
These people tend to focus on a positive future action.
In the previous post, we looked at how a person with a WHY and HOW that are both Do would respond to being in the following situation: a person at an airport who arrives too late to board their plane.
We saw people tend to immediately focus on the past: "Why did I miss my flight? What caused me to be late?"
Most people would answer these questions directly, for example: "Traffic was much worse than I expected."
If a person has a WHY and HOW that are both Do, they may not even think, "Traffic was much worse than I expected". Most likely, the individual would immediately move to what can be done about the situation: "Is there anyway I can still get on that plane? When is the next plane? Can I get on that plane?"
If a person has a WHY and HOW that are both Future Speak, their first response to arriving too late may be to only think about the future. Rather than think about the cause of missing their flight, they may say, "That's okay, I'll take the next flight...and it will probably be better."
Even if they did look to the past to determine the why and avoid the problem in the future, they would look at how the result will be even better: "From now on, I'm going to come to the airport an hour earlier. Not only will I never miss another flight, but I will be able to bring a book and catch up on my reading!"
CONCLUSION
People with a WHY and HOW that are both Future Speak tend to focus on a future positive action. In fact, they may not even consider the cause of the issue and only think about the future.

Motivational Spiritual Gifts: Do Perspective
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.

This includes the following:
Compassion-Compassion
Compassion-Giver
Compassion-Minister
Giver-Compassion
Giver-Giver
Giver-Minister
Minister-Compassion
Minister-Giver
Minister-Minister
These people tend to focus on taking action as soon as possible.
In the previous post, we looked at how a person with a WHY and HOW that are both Past Speak would respond to being in the following situation: a person at an airport who arrives too late to board their plane.
We saw people tend to immediately focus on the past: "Why did I miss my flight? What caused me to be late?"
Most people would answer these questions directly, for example: "Traffic was much worse than I expected."
We saw that a person with a WHY and HOW that are both Past Speak would tend to continue make progress looking to the past...
"Why didn't I leave an hour earlier? Why don't I like planning ahead? Why aren't I better at this? I have never liked planning ahead. I really should have learned this years ago. My parents should have raised me better...they should have made me learn to like planning..."
If a person has a WHY and HOW that are both Do, they may not even think, "Traffic was much worse than I expected". Most likely, the individual would immediately move to what can be done about the situation: "Is there anyway I can still get on that plane? When is the next plane? Can I get on that plane?"
These responses focus on achieving a future Profitable result: getting to their destination. However, there is another response...
The person could immediately focus on preventing this Unprofitable situation from reoccurring: "From now on, I'm going to leave an extra hour earlier when I have a flight to catch." or "Next time, I won't take the highway during rush hour."
CONCLUSION
People with a WHY and HOW that are both DO tend to focus on taking action as soon as possible. This action can be either to prevent an Unprofitable situation from reoccurring or achieve a future Profitable result.

Motivational Spiritual Gifts: Past Speak Perspective
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.

This includes the following:
Perceiver-Perceiver
Perceiver-Teacher
Teacher-Perceiver
Teacher-Teacher
These people tend to not only focus on the past, but make progress in looking to the past.
For example, a person at an airport who arrives too late to board their plane will tend to focus on the past: "Why did I miss my flight? What caused me to be late?"
Most people would answer these questions directly, for example: "Traffic was much worse than I expected." That would be the end of the matter.
However, a person with a WHY and HOW that are both Past Speak would tend to continue make progress looking to the past...
"Why didn't I leave an hour earlier? Why don't I like planning ahead? Why aren't I better at this? I have never liked planning ahead. I really should have learned this years ago. My parents should have raised me better...they should have made me learn to like planning..."
In this example, the person made progress in the past. They went all the way back to their childhood...and have no plan for the future.
People with a WHY and HOW that are both Past Speak need others to help them look to the future. The way to do this is to first acknowledge the past, especially the What and Why: "You have never liked planning because you naturally look to the past."
Then, you can help them look to the future: "How much time do you normally give yourself to make your flight? Do you think you can add another 30 or 45 minutes to that time in the future?"
CONCLUSION
People with a WHY and HOW that are both Past Speak not only focus on the past; they also tend to make progress towards the past. They go even further in the past.

Hearing Revelation From God
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.
Today's post will show how the Motivational Spiritual Gifts of the individual affect their ability to hear from God.
REVIEW
Remember, these Motivational Spiritual Gifts are associated with who you are...who God made you to be. On this blog, we have called this: your ARE.
Also, we've seen that Biblical Grace is "the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life". God initiates grace through your ARE.
Also, we've seen God's initiated grace is associated with Salvation. When God initiates grace, it results in you taking actions that benefit others and kill the flesh (remove dust). It results in love. This is Just for God to put His ability to initiate His communication in the area that you operate in naturally.
However, we can initiate grace from God. When we initiate grace ("come boldly to the throne of grace") it is associated with Reward and works. It is apart from your ARE and something you don't have to do.
If you have any concerns with what was stated in this review section, please take the time to read the resources that are linked throughout this section.
INITIATING GRACE
We have categorized the Motivational Spiritual Gifts into three groups:
-Past Speak (Perceiver, Teacher)
-Do (Compassion, Giver, Minister)
-Future Speak (Administrator, Exhorter)
When God initiates grace through the individual, it will be in the areas of their Motivational Spiritual Gifts and the result can benefit others.
When a person initiates grace towards God in an area that does not contain their Motivational Spiritual Gift, the result can be revelation from God that benefits the individual.
For example, my Motivational Spiritual Gifts are Past Speak (Teacher) and Future Speak (Administrator). What is my process from getting revelation from God? I cut the grass, shovel the driveway, take a walk, drive a car, etc. Revelation from God comes to me when I Do.
Another example is a person I know who is Past Speak in both HOW/WHY. He also gets revelation from Doing. However, he told me he would like to get deeper revelation. I told him to try Future Speak...to imagine a future scenario. For example, what will you do after you graduate college? He immediately laughed and said, "I am terrible at imagining. I've always been bad at it."
Finally, getting revelation from Past Speak would involve remembering, intentionally learning something, and thinking about problems. This means that a person could lay in a hammock and think back to some time in their childhood...and while they remembered the details, revelation could occur that had nothing to do with the memory.
CONCLUSION
God initiates grace through the individual in the areas of their Motivational Spiritual Gifts and the result can benefit others.
The individual can initiate grace towards God in an area that does not contain their Motivational Spiritual Gift and the result can be revelation from God that benefits the individual.

Motivating the Motivational Spiritual Gifts
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.
This week we are going to look at the implications of the individual's WHY and HOW Motivational Spiritual Gifts to its relation with three categories of these gifts:
-Past Speak (Perceiver, Teacher)
-Do (Compassion, Giver, Minister)
-Future Speak (Administrator, Exhorter)
In today's post we will look at how the person's Motivational Spiritual Gifts affect their ability to be motivated...
When it comes to motivating people, there are two general perspectives:
-Achieve Gain
-Fear of Loss
Achieve Gain is when a person is told the good thing(s) they will get if they DO something.
Fear of Loss is when a person is told the bad thing(s) that will happen to them if they don't DO something.
In the Bible, God ALWAYS appealed to people first with Achieve Gain...then Fear of Loss. Among the many examples, one of the easiest to follow was Leviticus chapter 26. Here is an overview:
LEVITICUS 26
(ACHIEVE GAIN: Verses 1-13. God covered blessings: conditional on keeping and walking in Commandments.)
"1 Ye shall make you no idols, neither shall ye rear you up a graven image, or a pillar, neither shall ye place any figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am Jehovah your God.
2 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am Jehovah.
3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
4 then I will give your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
8 And five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
9 And I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and will establish my covenant with you.
10 And ye shall eat old store long kept, and ye shall bring forth the old because of the new.
11 And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.
12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
13 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bars of your yoke, and made you go upright."
(FEAR OF LOSS: Verses 14-39. If people did not keep and walk in these Commandments, God would justly take value away. There were many more curses than blessings.)
"14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
15 and if ye shall reject my statutes, and if your soul abhor mine ordinances, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant;
16 I also will do this unto you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away; and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be smitten before your enemies: they that hate you shall rule over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
18 And if ye will not yet for these things hearken unto me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.
19 And I will break the pride of your power: and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass;
20 and your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.
21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
22 And I will send the beast of the field among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your ways shall become desolate.
23 And if by these things ye will not be reformed unto me, but will walk contrary unto me;
24 then will I also walk contrary unto you; and I will smite you, even I, seven times for your sins.
25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute the vengeance of the covenant; and ye shall be gathered together within your cities: and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
26 When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
28 then I will walk contrary unto you in wrath; and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your sun-images, and cast your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols; and my soul shall abhor you.
31 And I will make your cities a waste, and will bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savor of your sweet odors.
32 And I will bring the land into desolation; and your enemies that dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
33 And you will I scatter among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you: and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.
34 Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye are in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy its sabbaths.
35 As long as it lieth desolate it shall have rest, even the rest which it had not in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
36 And as for them that are left of you, I will send a faintness into their heart in the lands of their enemies: and the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as one fleeth from the sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
37 And they shall stumble one upon another, as it were before the sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
38 And ye shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
39 And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them."
(REPAIR: Verses 40-45 showed what Israel would be able to DO to remove the curses.)
40 And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me, and also that, because they walked contrary unto me,
41 I also walked contrary unto them, and brought them into the land of their enemies: if then their uncircumcised heart be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity;
42 then will I remember my covenant with Jacob; and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
43 The land also shall be left by them, and shall enjoy its sabbaths, while it lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they rejected mine ordinances, and their soul abhorred my statutes.
44 And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them; for I am Jehovah their God;
45 but I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am Jehovah."
When it comes to the Motivational Spiritual Gifts:
1. The Past Speak gifts (Perceiver and Teacher) are associated with Fear of Loss.
2. The Future Speak gifts (Administrator and Exhorter) are associated with Achieve Gain.
3. The Do gifts (Compassion, Giver, and Minister) can be associated with either.
Basically, the people motivated by Fear of Loss look at an opportunity to gain as something they don't need. They are doing fine. However, finding out they are behind or something bad is going to happen, while it makes them irritated, will suddenly give them the energy to Do.
On the other hand, the people motivated by Achieve Gain are constantly looking for opportunities to grow. They don't wait for things to go bad. They actively ask people for input, feedback, thoughts, ideas, issues, etc.
There is nothing inherently bad about being Fear of Loss. It is a tougher road, but if this is what works for a person, that does not make them bad.
In addition, it's one thing to WANT to be Achieve Gain, however, how would you respond if I said, "Great! So, the next time I compliment you and tell you how you can gain, you will get a sudden rush of energy and nothing will be able to stop you from completing the task?" (If imagining that caused you to lose energy, you are motivated by Fear of Loss...which is NOT a bad thing...as long as it works.)
IN GENERAL, when it comes to motivating someone, the method that will be most accepted depends on the person's Motivational Spiritual Gifts.
If the person has two Past Speak gifts, they will tend to be motivated by Fear of Loss: Perceiver-Perceiver, Perceiver-Teacher, Teacher-Teacher, Teacher-Perceiver.
If the person has two Future Speak gifts, they will tend to be motivated by Achieve Gain: Administrator-Administrator, Administrator-Exhorter, Exhorter-Administrator, Exhorter-Exhorter.
If the person has a Do gift, then they will tend to be motivated by the perspective associated with the other gift: Fear of Loss (Perceiver and Teacher) vs. Achieve Gain (Administrator and Exhorter).
If the person has two Do gifts, they will tend to be motivated by the path that causes them to take action: Compassion-Compassion, Compassion-Giver, Compassion-Minister, Giver-Compassion, Giver-Giver, Giver-Minister, Minister-Compassion, Minister-Giver, Minister-Minister.
CONCLUSION
When it comes to motivating people, there are two general perspectives:
-Achieve Gain
-Fear of Loss
Achieve Gain is when a person is told the good thing(s) they will get if they DO something.
Fear of Loss is when a person is told the bad thing(s) that will happen to them if they don't DO something.
In the next post, we will look at the effect the WHY and HOW Motivational Spiritual Gifts have on the individual's ability to hear from God.
Next Post
3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
4 then I will give your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

"14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;

Initiating or Responding Our Purpose
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.
In the previous post, we saw doing the Motivational Spiritual Gifts in the order we've presented results in Perfect Repair.
Here is that order from Past to Future:
1. Perceiver
2. Teacher
3. Compassion
4. Giver
5. Minister
6. Administrator
7. Exhorter
We've seen that everyone has a HOW and WHY Motivational Spiritual Gift.
Your WHY is who you are. Your WHY is the effect on others.
Your HOW is who others think you are. Your HOW is what you DO.
During this Series, we've stated the WHY first. For example, an Exhorter-Teacher is a person who teaches in order that others are exhorted.
We've also seen the difference between a person's WHY and HOW can result in stress within the individual due to being misunderstood. For instance, if your HOW and WHY are the same, then you are easy to understand and always in the moment. Here is an excerpt from the post titled, "Difference in WHY and HOW":
For this next section, take the number listed with each Motivational Spiritual Gift...
Your WHY is who you are.
Your HOW is who others think you are.
Others believe your WHY is what is actually your HOW...because they see your HOW.
If you take the number of your HOW and your WHY and subtract them, it gives a measure of how much stress you could feel due to your Motivational Spiritual Gifts because you are misunderstood by others. If your HOW and WHY are far apart, you can end up being misunderstood and feel a lot of stress because people confuse your HOW (what you DO) with your WHY (who you ARE).
For example, a Teacher-Teacher is easily understood. This person teaches in order to teach. This person acts in accordance to who she appears to be. Others may say of this person, "She is who she is" or "She is a simple person" or "You know what you are getting when you deal with her".
However, an Administrator-Teacher can be misunderstood. This person teaches in order to coordinate a group towards a goal. People think this person is focused on the Past (looking for causes that have occurred) when they actually are focused on the Future (goals to move towards). Others may say of this person, "He is not what he seems" or "He is complicated".
My experience is that a difference of four or more leads to being misunderstood.
There is another source of stress that can result from the difference in a person's WHY and HOW...
If a person's HOW and WHY are different, the order of the HOW and WHY can result in stress for the individual as well as others.
Notice, if your HOW is a lower number than your WHY, then you can INITIATE progress towards your Purpose (WHY). As we saw in the previous post, doing the Motivational Spiritual Gifts in the order we've presented results in Perfect Repair. This order results in Profitability. So, if this order was applied to a project, it would result in progress.
We are in control of our HOW...we can intentionally do it. However, we are not in control of our WHY...we cannot intentionally cause others to respond according to our WHY.
Consequently, a person whose HOW is a lower number than their WHY can continue to do their HOW and naturally wait for others to follow with the WHY. The person is only able to achieve their Purpose in RESPONSE to others. For example, a person whose WHY is Teacher can initiate the process towards others understanding if their HOW was Perceiver. The Teacher-Perceiver can state WHAT's (perceive) in order for others to learn the WHY (teach). This process feels natural to others.
However, a person whose WHY is a lower number than their HOW has to RESPOND to others in order to achieve their Purpose.
A Perceiver-Teacher would give WHY's in order that people are Aware of a WHAT. We looked at Perceiver-Teacher in the post titled, "Motivational Spiritual Gifts: WHY and HOW":
This is a person who wants to make others Aware of an issue by explaining the WHY behind the issue. This person would explain to others the reason WHY for an issue in order for people to be Aware there is an issue. They would want people to put the WHY's together and arrive at the conclusion that there is an issue. For example, they would tell you that they have to go out of town to their nephew's wedding this Saturday (WHY) and let you figure out that they can't make it to your party this weekend (WHAT).
Notice, this process may not feel natural to others. It can even feel passive-aggressive. Why didn't the Perceiver-Teacher just say they couldn't make it to your party this weekend?
Obviously, people with the same WHY and HOW don't feel this stress. They are in control of their HOW, and since the WHY is the same, others don't feel stress.
CONCLUSION
The order of a person's WHY and HOW can create stress.
If the HOW is a lower number than the WHY, the person can INITIATE the process towards their Purpose and their approach is seen as natural by others.
If the WHY is a lower number than the HOW, the person can only make progress towards their Purpose in RESPONSE to others and their approach can be seen as unnatural (and even passive-aggressive) by others.

Perfect Repair
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.
In today's post, we will look at how the Motivational Spiritual Gifts model Perfect Repair.
One of the posts that gets "googled" every week from this blog is "The Only Way To Remove Guilt".
Here are some excerpts from that post:
The only way to remove guilt is through confession and repentance.
Confession is admitting the wrong. We now see this reconciles the brain and body. This reduces the internal stress caused by the body knowing the truth and the brain actively trying to ignore it. However, most people don't know how to confess...
A confession is an admission of what the individual did that was wrong. The perfect confession is made up of three parts:
1. I know WHAT I did (specfically identified) was wrong.
2. I know WHY (specific causes) I did it.
3. I don't want to do it again.
Adding anything more that takes the focus off the confessor makes the statement cease to be a confession.
For example, "I hit you" is a confession. However, "I hit you because you made me mad" is NOT a confession.
and
Once confession is completed, the second half of the process can be addressed: repentance. This is how we continue the healing process over the Long Term.
Repentance means to turn away. Notice, stopping the bad act isn't turning away...it is just ceasing from going in the same direction...for now. Confession is actually the ceasing of the bad act. Repentance/Repair makes up for the bad act.
To turn away means to go the opposite direction. If the direction was damaging, then the opposite way means to repair. True repentance involves an act of repair by the confessor. We covered this in the Luke 17:3 post.
Confession is a SAY.
Repentance is a DO.
A lot of national ministers teach that Repentance is a SAY. In March 2010, a pastor from Chicago (McDonald) preached on the radio Repentance is a NOT DO...as in, you feel so bad about what you did that if you had the chance to do it over again you would NOT DO it. This is wrong and DAMAGING to people.
Repetance is a DO and it results in REPAIR. (Now we see WHY apologies don't succeed in removing guilt.)
Let's look at this information relative to the Motivational Spiritual Gifts. Here is our list from Past to Future...
1. Perceiver
2. Teacher
3. Compassion
4. Giver
5. Minister
6. Administrator
7. Exhorter
Notice, the first three gifts represent the Perfect Confession:
1. Perceiver: I know WHAT I did (specfically identified) was wrong.
2. Teacher: I know WHY (specific causes) I did it.
3. Compassion: I don't want to do it again.
The three Past gifts match:
1. Perceiver is a Past Speak gift focused on making people Aware of the WHAT.
2. Teacher is a Past Speak gift focused on helping people Understand the WHY.
3. Compassion is a Past Do gift focused on bearing emotional pain...not desiring to DO it again.
Notice, the next two gifts represent Repentance:
True repentance involves an act of repair by the confessor. Repentance is a DO.
The remaining two Do gifts match:
4. Giver is a Present Do gift focused on giving something to make up for the loss.
5. Minister is a Future Do gift focused on fulfilling a need to make up for the loss.
Two Future Speak gifts remain. How do they result in the Perfect Repentance?
The reality is that when we sin against another person, we tend to Speak negatively about that person to other people...lots of other people. This actually compounds the sin...to the point my Speaking poorly of that person could be a greater sin than my original sin against that person. True Repair would result in something MORE for the person I originally sinned against...
Think about it, these other people maybe didn't have an opinion about the person I sinned against. After I sinned against the person, these other people got a negative perspective on the person.
However, after my Perfect Repentance, all of these other people would have a positive perspective about the person I sinned against. The person I sinned against actually ended up in a better place than before I sinned against them...which is Perfect Repair.
Next Post

Difference in HOW and WHY
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.
We also saw that each person has both a HOW and WHY Motivational Spiritual Gift. Here is an excerpt from the post titled, "Motivational Spiritual Gifts: HOW and WHY":
Notice, WHO you really are is your WHY. Who others think you are is your HOW. The greater the distance between your WHY and HOW, the more likely your are to be misjudged. I list the WHY first and the HOW second.
The previous seven posts looked at all the combinations of WHY and HOW Motivational Spiritual Gifts.
From the same post referenced above we saw the WHY and HOW Motivational Spiritual Gifts listed in order:
If the following was your WHY, you wouldn't be settled until you got the following response FROM people:
1. Perceiver - people are aware of the issue.
2. Teacher - people understand WHY the issue exists.
3. Compassion - people are relieved of emotional pain.
4. Giver - people receive a tangible need.
5. Minister - people had their need filled.
6. Administrator - a group of people are involved in a goal.
7. Exhorter - people are encouraged about the future.
If the following was your HOW, you wouldn't be settled until YOU got to respond in the following way:
1. Perceiver - you point out the issue.
2. Teacher - you explain the WHY behind the issue.
3. Compassion - you bear emotional pain.
4. Giver - you give a tangible need.
5. Minister - you DO what it takes to fulfill the need.
6. Administrator - you focus a group of people on the group's goal.
7. Exhorter - you encourage someone about the future.
We've seen this list goes from most Past focused (Perceiver) to most Future focused (Exhorter).
Here are the combinations with a difference of 4:
Perceiver-Minister
Teacher-Administrator
Compassion-Exhorter
Minister-Perceiver
Administrator-Teacher
Exhorter-Compassion
Remember, we saw that Exhorter and Compassion can look like the same gift, however, they actually have very different purposes. Exhorter encourages someone who isn't feeling a negative emotion about the Future. It is the "easiest" gift to do because it is all Release. Compassion bears the pain of someone who is feeling a negative emotion because of the Past. Compassion is the strongest gift.
Notice, a Giver isn't misunderstood because it is different than every other gift because it is completely in the present. It is the easiest gift to identify.
The following combinations have a difference of 5 and lead to greater misunderstanding:
Perceiver-Administrator
Teacher-Exhorter
Administrator-Perceiver
Exhorter-Teacher
Notice, Perceivers can be seen as being overly critical about specific instances in the Past, while Administrators are focused on general (group) Future goals. Exhorters can be seen as carefree while Teachers can be seen as "overthinkers".
The combinations that are most misunderstood have a difference of 6 and are:
Perceiver-Exhorter
Exhorter-Perceiver
It has been my experience that people who have these combinations can appear bi-polar and/or sarcastic. The person appears to be overly critical when she is actually very optimistic...or the person appears to be overly optimistic when they he is actually very focused on making people aware of issues.
Also, it has been my experience that the further apart a person's HOW and WHY are, the more likely he/she could experience depression. (Having a large difference in your HOW and WHY would lead to people treating you in conflict to who you are.)
CONCLUSION
The difference in a person's WHY and HOW as it relates to their Motivational Spiritual Gifts is one reason why people are misunderstood and could explain their susceptibility to depression. The greater the difference between a person's HOW and WHY, the more likely the person will be misunderstood by others.
Next, we will look at how this order of the Motivational Spiritual Gifts leads to Perfect Repair.

Exhorter Combinations
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.
We have seen that a person has a HOW and a WHY Motivational Spiritual Gift. This week we begin covering these HOW and WHY combinations. This post will focus on the combinations concerning Exhorter WHY.
Exhorter encourages people by looking to the future.
Our method for determining a person's Motivational Spiritual Gift used the following story:
"Imagine you and I were at an ice cream parlor. You have bought your ice cream and find a table. I buy an ice cream sundae. As I come back to the table, I drop it on the floor."
When this gift is the WHY, Exhorter doesn't feel settled until others are encouraged about the future.
When this gift is the HOW, Exhorter doesn't feel settled until they encourage people about the future. For example, "This won't happen next time because we will sit at the counter."
We have taken the practice of stating the WHY first. For example a person who is a Perceiver WHY and an Exhorter HOW will be referred to as a "Perceiver-Exhorter".
Here are all the combinations with Exhorter as a WHY:
Exhorter-Perceiver
This person would make people Aware of the issue in order to encourage people about the future.
"Next time we will go to a better ice cream shop."
Exhorter-Teacher
This person would help people understand WHY the issue exists in order to encourage people about the future.
"This won't happen next time because we will sit at the counter."
Exhorter-Compassion
This person would bear the emotional pain of people in order to encourage people about the future.
"Don't get upset. We're going to look back at this and laugh."
Exhorter-Giver
This person would give a tangible benefit to people in order to encourage people about the future.
"Let me buy you a bigger sundae."
Exhorter-Minister
This person would fill a need in order to encourage people about the future.
"I will clean this up. Sit down and relax."
Exhorter-Administrator
This person would coordinate a group of people in order to encourage people about the future.
"Ted and Marcia will clean this up, while I talk to the manager. Sit down and relax."
Exhorter-Exhorter
This person would encourage people about the future in order to encourage people about the future.
"This will be fun to clean up."
Next, we will look at the stress within an individual that comes from the difference between the WHY and HOW of their Motivational Spiritual Gifts...

"Imagine you and I were at an ice cream parlor. You have bought your ice cream and find a table. I buy an ice cream sundae. As I come back to the table, I drop it on the floor."
When this gift is the WHY, Administrator doesn't feel settled until others are involved in filling a need by working together to Repair the issue.
When this gift is the HOW, Administrator doesn't feel settled until they coordinate a group of people to Repair the issue. For example, "Ted, get a mop. Clara, pick up the plate. John, help me pick up the sundae."
We have taken the practice of stating the WHY first. For example a person who is a Perceiver WHY and an Exhorter HOW will be referred to as a "Perceiver-Exhorter".

"We should clean this together so that it won't take long to clean up."
Administrator-Compassion
This person would bear the emotional pain of people in order to coordinate a group of people to fulfill a need.
"Don't worry, Ted and Marcia will help me clean this up."
Administrator-Giver
This person would give a tangible benefit to people in order to coordinate a group of people to fulfill a need.
"Ted, here's some money. Buy another sundae."
Administrator-Minister
This person would fill a need in order to coordinate a group of people to fulfill a need.

Giver Combinations
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.
We have seen that a person has a HOW and a WHY Motivational Spiritual Gift. This week we begin covering these HOW and WHY combinations. This post will focus on the combinations concerning Giver WHY.
Giver supplies a tangible need. It is a gift...a present...not something done for a price or an exchange.
Our method for determining a person's Motivational Spiritual Gift used the following story:
"Imagine you and I were at an ice cream parlor. You have bought your ice cream and find a table. I buy an ice cream sundae. As I come back to the table, I drop it on the floor."
When this gift is the WHY, Giver doesn't feel settled until others have obtained another sundae.
When this gift is the HOW, Giver doesn't feel settled until they offer to buy the person another sundae.
We have taken the practice of stating the WHY first. For example a person who is a Perceiver WHY and an Exhorter HOW will be referred to as a "Perceiver-Exhorter".
Here are all the combinations with Giver as a WHY:
Giver-Perceiver
This person would make people Aware of the issue in order to give a tangible need.
"You need another sundae."
Giver-Teacher
This person would help people understand WHY the issue exists in order to give a tangible need.
"I'm going to buy you a sundae on a bigger plate."
Giver-Compassion
This person would bear the emotional pain of people in order to give a tangible need.

"Would it help you not feel bad if I bought you another sundae?"
Giver-Giver
This person would give a tangible benefit to people in order to give a tangible need.
"Let me buy you another sundae."
Giver-Minister
This person would fill a need in order to give a tangible need.

Compassion Combinations
This Series covers a revelatory tool taught to me by Wayne Swokowski concerning Spiritual Gifts. We saw there are seven Motivational Spiritual Gifts according to Romans 12:6-8.

When this gift is the HOW, Compassion doesn't feel settled until they say, "Don't feel bad. That could have happened to anyone."
